Description

This board is analog to digital converter (ADC) with a LEMO connector as inut. It is based in the ADS5500 Ic from Texas instruments. The ADS5500 is a high-performance, 14-bit, 125 Msps ADC. For more details see the datasheet. This board includes two digital input/ouput (DIO) with LEMO connectors.

There is three hardware version of this board, version 1 to 3.

Version 1 and 2

The hardware version 1 and 2 is coupled with a transformer, due to this this version will only work with ac signals, typical between 20KHz to 50 MHz. The maximal input voltage should be maximal 2.3Vpp. The transformer could be changed to adjust the gain and bandwidth.

The only difference between this two versions is the DIO. The first version can work with TTL or NIM standard and the second one only with TTL.

Version 3

The third version of the board works with DC voltage too. At input was populated a differential amplifier, in this way differential signal can be amplified, for this propose there are two LEMO connectors. This module can work with single ended signals too. The DIOs are TTL only.
